Terms of Service

Terms for using LaterCart

Plain-language terms for a wishlist app that helps you save products and decide later.

Effective date: July 14, 2026

These terms apply to your use of LaterCart. They are written in plain language; mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live remain unaffected.

Acceptance of these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Jon Kevin Wong Gutierrez, who operates LaterCart as an individual in Switzerland. By creating an account, installing the browser extension, or using LaterCart, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use LaterCart.

What LaterCart provides

LaterCart is a wishlist and decision-delay tool. It:

  • Saves product references that you choose to add, from the web app or the browser extension.
  • Shows saved items in your wishlists and lets you organize them with categories and notes.
  • Calculates a waiting time and decision date for saved items.
  • Sends decision reminder emails when reminders are enabled.
  • Checks prices for items you track, where LaterCart can read the shop's public product page.
  • Sends price-drop emails when Price Watch and the separate account preference are enabled.

What LaterCart is not

LaterCart is not a marketplace, a seller, a broker, a financial adviser, a consumer adviser, or a price guarantee service. Specifically:

  • LaterCart does not sell products and does not place or process store orders.
  • LaterCart does not guarantee prices, price drops, discounts, or savings.
  • LaterCart does not guarantee product availability, delivery, or quality.
  • LaterCart does not provide financial, legal, tax, medical, or psychological advice.
  • Purchases you make on third-party websites are between you and that website.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use LaterCart, or older where your local law requires it, and legally able to enter into this agreement.

Your account

You need an account to use LaterCart. Keep your login credentials safe, and let us know if you believe someone accessed your account without permission. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Browser extension

The extension detects product information on shopping pages so you can save items with one click. It works on many sites but not all, and you decide what gets saved. You can review and edit detected details before saving.

You may not misuse the extension, use it to collect data you are not allowed to collect, interfere with websites, or use it for unlawful activity.

Your saved content

You keep ownership of the content you save in LaterCart, such as notes, wishlist names, and category labels. You give us the limited right to store and display this content to you so the service can work.

You are responsible for what you save. Do not save content that is illegal, infringing, abusive, or malicious.

Product information

Product titles, prices, images, shops, and URLs may be detected automatically or entered by you. Extraction is best effort. Product information in LaterCart may be inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, or extracted incorrectly, and prices and availability on the shop can change at any time.

Waiting periods, decision dates, reminders, and price information are provided for your reflection only. Always verify details on the original shop page before buying anything.

Acceptable use

  • Do not try to access accounts, data, or systems without permission.
  • Do not interfere with or disrupt LaterCart, its APIs, or its service providers.
  • Do not abuse rate limits, automation, or the extension's behavior.
  • Do not upload or link to malicious content.
  • Do not reverse engineer, copy, or resell the service except where the law allows it.
  • Do not use LaterCart for unlawful activity.

Plans and payments

LaterCart offers a Free plan and paid plans as described on the pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. Lifetime is a one-time payment with no renewal.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices may change; if the price of a subscription changes, we will inform existing subscribers before the change affects their next renewal. Depending on your location, VAT or similar taxes may apply.

If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it. If it continues to fail, your account moves to the Free plan and your data is kept.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a subscription at any time before renewal from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and you keep paid features until then.

If you downgrade or your plan ends, your saved items are not deleted. Features above the Free plan limits pause until you upgrade again, and you cannot add new items while you are over the Free limits.

If something went wrong with a charge, contact us and we will look at it. Mandatory refund or withdrawal rights under the law of your country are not affected.

Intellectual property

LaterCart, including its software, design, logo, and name, belongs to Jon Kevin Wong Gutierrez or its licensors. These terms do not give you any right to use our branding or to copy the service. Product names, images, and trademarks of third-party shops belong to their respective owners.

Beta features

We may offer features marked as beta or experimental. They may change, break, or be removed at any time, and they may be less reliable than the rest of the service.

Availability and changes

We may change, add, pause, or remove features as LaterCart evolves. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or provider outages. We aim for reliability but do not promise uninterrupted availability.

Termination

You can stop using LaterCart and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly violate these terms, create security or legal risk, or abuse the service. Where reasonable, we will warn you first.

Disclaimers

LaterCart is provided as is and as available. We work to keep it useful and reliable, but we do not warrant that product data, price tracking, reminders, or extension detection will always be accurate, complete, or available, or that using LaterCart will reduce your spending or lead to any particular outcome.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Jon Kevin Wong Gutierrez is liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, such as liability for personal injury.

For everything else, and to the extent permitted by law, our liability for slight negligence and for indirect damage, lost profits, or lost data is excluded. Our total liability for claims connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or CHF 50 if you use the Free plan.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that mandatory consumer law gives you in your country of residence.

Indemnity

If your unlawful use of LaterCart or your breach of these terms causes a third-party claim against us, you agree to compensate us for the resulting damage and reasonable costs, to the extent permitted by law. This does not apply where the claim is caused by our own fault.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law, except where mandatory law gives you greater protection. Any dispute is subject to the courts with jurisdiction under applicable law; mandatory rules may allow you to bring or defend a claim at your place of residence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. If a change is significant, we will make it visible in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using LaterCart after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply. The effective date at the top shows the latest version.
